Dear CWG Conference Attendee,

On behalf of the CWG Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the 2011 European CWG Conference.  You have joined a large and growing professional organization of international SAP customers and partners who are focused on product configuration as implemented in the SAP Variant Configurator (VC) and in the SAP Internet Pricing and Configurator (SAP IPC).  I am sending you this letter to confirm that you know about the many events, groups, and resources that CWG has to offer you.

This conference offers a variety of presentations, user clinics, and demonstrations of SAP, customer, and partner VC and IPC solutions.  You will get solution and technical updates from SAP, project news from customers and partners, and other information of general interest.  You will have the opportunity to meet and establish valuable relationships with a diverse group of product configuration practitioners, many of whom are experts in this field.  I hope that you also have some fun in this wonderful resort setting.

Conferences are not the only events where we meet.   In recent years, the CWG has created several local chapters that provide regional forums where members hold meetings between the conferences.  There are currently ten local chapters with seven in the United States, one in Australia, one for French Speaking members, and one in South Germany.  I encourage you to join a local chapter near you, or if there is no chapter near you, please let the CWG Board know if you would be interested in joining one.   There has also been interest in forming a Chapter based in Northern Germany and including Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark.

Within the general CWG membership, focus groups are formed from time to time to address specific topics and issues in detail.  These groups meet in person at the conferences and also hold periodic teleconferences.   Focus groups are one of the ways that the CWG can influence SAP, and the groups often create and prioritize new development requests for SAP.

There are several valuable resources available to you on the CWG Portal, and I encourage you to take advantage of them.  You can ask and get answers to technical questions in the CWG Forum, read blogs and articles in the CWG Review, find presentations from previous conferences in the Document Share, and utilize a CWG SAP Sandbox for testing and reviewing new capabilities in ERP and CRM.

Again, I would like to welcome you to this conference and the CWG.  Each of the Board members looks forward to meeting you in person.  We hope that you enjoy the conference and find it to be a valuable experience.  If you feel there is something we can do to improve this conference, please let us know.  We look forward to seeing you again at the European conference in April.

Sincerely,

Lawrence Matusek
